Is Burhope Farm an adults-only site?
Yes, Burhope Farm is exclusively an adults-only campsite and touring park. This ensures a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere for all guests. We made this decision to create a tranquil environment where adults can truly unwind and enjoy the beautiful Herefordshire countryside.
Can I bring my dog to the campsite?
Absolutely! We’re a dog-friendly campsite with a dedicated 2-acre dog exercise field. We welcome a maximum of two dogs per pitch. Dogs must be kept on leads around the site and never left unattended in accommodation except for caged small pets.
What types of accommodation do you offer?
We offer hard-standing pitches for caravans, motorhomes and campervans (with electric hook-up), grass pitches for tents (with or without electric), and our new shepherd’s hut glamping option “The Little House on the Lake” for those seeking extra comfort.
How do I book a stay at Burhope Farm?

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from midday until 7pm on your arrival day. Check-out is by 10am on your departure day. Late departures may incur an additional fee. If you need arrangements outside these hours, please contact us in advance.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel within 14 days prior to arrival, no refund is available unless we can rebook your pitch. A 50% refund is eligible if cancelled within 1 month of your arrival date. Eligible refunds retain a 5% administration fee. Full refunds are given if we breach our contract or change terms to your disadvantage.
Is fishing available on site?
Yes, we have our own fishing lake on site. We charge a small fee for a day’s fishing. The lake offers a tranquil setting and is exclusive to guests staying at Burhope Farm. Please ask at reception for current fishing rules.
Do you have Wi-Fi available?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available for an extra charge. It’s provided by a third party and is subject to availability and network conditions. It’s suitable for leisure browsing but not designed for business use or bandwidth-intensive activities.
Can we have campfires or BBQs?
BBQs are permitted, provided they’re raised off the ground and used responsibly. Please check current fire safety guidelines upon arrival as restrictions may apply during very dry weather. Unfortunately, ground fires are not permitted for safety reasons but we have firepits available for hire, plus wood for sale.
What facilities do your pitches include?
Hard-standing pitches include electric hook-up, drinking water tap, and access to disposal points. Grass pitches can include electric hook-up if requested. All pitches are generously sized and you can park one car next to your accommodation.
Are there shops and pubs nearby?
Yes, there are several excellent pubs nearby including The Fountain Inn in Orcop (English and Thai cuisine), The Kilpeck Inn, and The Temple Bar in Ewyas Harold. For shopping, Hereford city is about 20 minutes drive with all major retailers.
Can visitors come to see us while we’re staying?
Yes, visitors are welcome but must report to reception and pay before entering the site. There’s a charge of £5 per day for each visitor car and use of facilities. Please arrange visitors with the site owner in advance.
What is there to do in the local area?
We’re ideally located for exploring the Wye Valley, Black Mountains, and Forest of Dean. Activities include walking, cycling, canoeing on the River Wye, visiting historic towns like Hereford, Monmouth, and Ross-on-Wye, and touring local cider producers.
Do you accept group bookings?
Group bookings for 4+ accommodations or more than 8 people must be arranged through our reception. Due to our peaceful atmosphere, we may have restrictions during peak season. All members of your party must be listed on your booking.
Is there public transport available from the site?
Public transport is limited in our rural location. A car is recommended for exploring the area. The nearest bus services run from nearby villages, and the closest train stations are in Hereford or Abergavenny. Taxis are available but should be booked in advance.
What are the toilet and shower facilities like?
Our facilities are modern, immaculately clean, and well-maintained as often mentioned in our guest reviews. We have separate ladies and gents facilities with hot showers, toilets, and washing areas. There’s also a dedicated dishwashing area.
Can I get food delivered to the campsite?
Yes, several local takeaways and restaurants deliver to the site, including The Fountain Inn which offers Thai and English cuisine. Supermarket deliveries from major chains are also possible. Please ensure you provide clear delivery instructions.
Do you offer seasonal or annual pitches?
Yes, we have 12-month and seasonal pitches available. These are spacious, fully serviced hard-standing pitches. For current availability and rates, please contact us directly as these pitches are limited and in high demand.
Is there a shop on site?
We have a small shop on site, there are small convenience stores in nearby villages and supermarkets in Hereford (about 20 minutes drive). We recommend bringing essentials with you or planning a shopping trip after arrival.
