Outside The Shepherd’s Rest

Outside the hut is a gravelled outside space; an idyllic spot to relax and soak in the tranquil surroundings.

The space features comfortable seating for two, perfect for morning coffees or evening aperitifs. A small, sturdy table provides the ideal place for alfresco dining. From this vantage point, you’ll enjoy uninterrupted views of the shimmering lake and the gently rolling Herefordshire hills beyond.

In the early morning, watch as mist rises off the water’s surface, or witness spectacular sunsets painting the sky in vibrant hues. The peaceful atmosphere is enhanced by the sounds of nature – birdsong, the gentle lapping of water at the lake’s edge, and the rustle of leaves in the breeze.

Surrounding the hut, you’ll find well-maintained grounds that seamlessly blend into the natural landscape. Native wildflowers and grasses add splashes of color and movement, attracting a variety of wildlife. It’s not uncommon to spot rabbits, squirrels, or even deer in the quieter moments of the day.
